World Aids Day

World AIDS Day

World Aids Day

  • Take a moment today on the one day of the year which internationally recognises awareness and education of AIDS and HIV to think of everyone who has died so far of AIDS :(

  • Be Aware, and protect yourself, it is totally preventable by you!

  • Educate yourself about the major AIDS issues, ignorance can lead to death and taboos, fear, denial and stigma

  • Are you prejudiced against people suffering from AIDS or HIV? Talking to sufferers or touching them will not lead to you dying suddenly horrifically. That's just ignorance.

  • "Five people worldwide die of AIDS every minute of every day. HIV has hit every corner of the globe, infecting more than 42 million men, women and children, 5 million of them last year alone."

  • Currently in the UK, one new person is diagnosed with AIDS or HIV every hour and a half (every 90 mins)

  • and you know what? Most people know in the high risk groups are not Gay men and women. After the 80's they have become safer, and the highest risk groups are straight men and women.

Today's TV Choices

46664: The Concert in Association with MTV's Staying Alive (MTV, 8pm) - Charity concert from last week that was broadcast live on the interweb (if you have a good connection unlike me!) from Cape Town. Performers include Beyonce, Anastacia, Ms Dynamite and Bono. Yes fireloveMiss D, Anastacia!

Fifth Gear (Five, 8:30pm) - A special tonight about evil private wheelclampers!

Little Britain (BBC2, 10pm) - It's been on BBC3 already which I don't get, and now everyone can see it on BBC2! Loads of insane characters from Matt Lucas and David Walliams, and narrated by Tom Baker. I will watch the first episode and see what its like :)

Get Real (Channel4, 12:40am) - a gay British film, which did not get that many stars, and so is probably pretty crappy!

synopsis:-
"British romantic drama about a gay schoolboy who falls in love with the school's star athlete. The pair keep their relationship secret from unsympathetic classmates but, as the relationship develops, coming out is the only option".

Alas it isn't p0rn :(

phone handling

someone just phoned my mobile from Northampton and I don't know anyone there and got freaked out and rejected the call to voicemail! lol

I don't tend to answer withhold number or numbers I don't know on my mobile phones because its normally someone trying to sell you something or ask "do you want to upgrade your tariff to our rival brand?"

I don't think it was anyone I know, and plus they would leave a message!

the area code was 01604 which apparently is Northampton.
