the start of the weekend
My mum has taken my father to the hospital department formally known as Casualty and now known as Accident and Emergency this morning. He has had a bad knee for ages but apparently its really bad this morning and very swollen and he is worried it might be infected. Its not life or death but I am sure he will be there for like 10 hours! I now have to wake up and go and walk the dog grrrr!

It's a lovely day so let's hope A & E is empty. As a former A & E nurse weather does affect teh department, I know that is an awful thing to say but true :)

I never knew you were an A and E nurse! It must be so stressful yet rewarding! I am thinking about into nursing when I feel better! Not sure if I could handle emergency stuff though. I have a friend on my lj list who is a paramedic in America and I would find it hard that you have to make life and death snap decisions there and then! I know there is a lot of training, but any situation could come up!
