Blogging Ethics Survey

This email was sent to me from a group of students doing their honorary thesis and trying to get their survey around to different demographics. If you want to fill in the survey, just click the link below. The survey closes on March 1st!

I did the survey and you are welcome to do it or spread it around too! I am sure it will help them and they won't sell all your details too dodgy spamming companies :)

Subject: Second and Final Call for Participation: Ethics and Blogging Survey

Dear Bloggers,

So far, more than 1,000 people from across the world have participated in our survey on ethics and blogging. We hope that you will take the opportunity to share your views, if you have not already done so.

For those who have completed the survey already, thank you. We apologise for the redundancy of this message, but due to the survey design and the confidentiality we have assured participants, it was not possible to identify and extract the email addresses of those who have completed the survey.

For those bloggers who have not taken the survey, please consider doing so, for it will help us to better understand the global blogging community. Upon completion of this study, the results will be made available at The Singapore Internet Research Centre (http://www.ntu.edu.sg/sci/sirc/).

This will be the last invitation e-mail we are sending. We hope you can take part in our survey soon as we will be closing it on 1 March 2005. Please follow the link below to do the survey now:

http://www.sci-duet.ntu.edu.sg/NSurvey/survey.aspx?surveyid=56&uid=[--invitationid-]

If you have already done so, we would really appreciate if you can forward this e-mail to your blogger friends or post our survey link on your weblog. We are working hard to have our survey disseminated globally so that we can reach out to a greater population of the blogging community. Thank you so much!

Below is more information for those who are reading this e-mail for the first time.

I am an undergraduate from the School of Communications and Information, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). Previously, my fellow course-mates and I have sent you an e-mail regarding our online survey to study the practices and attitudes of bloggers on ethics. This study is conducted as part of our honours thesis.

We have retrieved your e-mail address from your weblog which was, in turn, selected using random weblog generating services freely available on the Internet.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary and should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. All information will be kept confidential. We really appreciate if you can take some time off to participate in our survey.

Sincerely,
Andy Koh
